A large assortment of accessories, teapots and hampers have made Betjeman and Barton's reputation, which is now well known in France and beyond. We have also been accompanying the greatest Palaces for decades, creating teas and herbal teas cards especially for them. It would even seem that some Princes are our regulars...
Paris at Tea Time: A Tea Shop in the Heart of the Roaring Twenties
The war had barely ended when the Roaring Twenties began to stir the capital. Paris inspired the entire world; the city of love and luxury became cosmopolitan and attracted even the most discerning tea drinkers.
Arthur Betjeman studied the art of tea in Dublin and London, but it was in Paris that he chose to open his first tea shop . Success was there, and the conquest of the City of Light was only just beginning. Arthur Betjeman wanted to think big, so he joined forces with Percy Barton and opened the first Betjeman & Barton boutique, on Rue de Surène and then Boulevard Malesherbes.
